摘要：

世界上符合现代公园定义的公园始现于19世纪中叶的英国。英国公园从私家园林到公共园林的转变，既有自然及社会环境的客观因素，也有城市改革者的主观因素。对私家园林到公园过程的探讨，折射出公共空间在城市化转型期的嬗变，对于当下的中国也存在一定的借鉴意义。

Abstract：

It was not until the middle of the 19th century that the public parks have emerged in Great Britain. There were both natural and social factors that led to the transformation: from private garden to public park. The discussion on the transformation reflects the change of public space during the urbanization and have certain significance for modern China.
