美国城市设计专门教育的进展和现状——以六所大学为例

摘要:

本文考察和引介美国城市设计教育的经验。以哈佛大学、麻省理工学院、加州大学伯克利分校、哥伦比亚大学、宾夕法尼亚大学、华盛顿大学西雅图分校等六校为例,审视其城市设计专门教育的发展变化和特色,包括培养模式、组织管理、课程体系、教学方法、成效等;并归纳其成效和经验,进而讨论对我国高校的借鉴意义,涉及人才培养模式选择、教育项目组织和管理、课程体系完善、教学方法优化、教研相长和实践发展等方面。


Abstract:

This paper aims to revisit the experience of urban design education in the US. Six universities (Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of California at Berkeley, Columbia University, New York, University of Pennsylvania and University of Washington, Seattle) are chosen as cases, investigated in program patterns, organization, curricula, pedagogies, and outcomes. With inducing effectiveness and experience, suggestions are given on China’s improvement, including types of programs and degrees, organization, curricula system, pedagogies, combining teaching with research and leading the practice.
